• Is Autism genetic ?

The correct question you should be asking is, " is Autism inherited ? ". The answer is - no !

There is no conclusive evidence that Autism Spectrum Disorder is passed on in generations, and even in twins  with one sibling being Autistic with the other being normal contradicts the opinion that it is a inherited disorder.

  • Does watching screen cause Autism ?

No. Excessive screen use only limits interaction in children with Autism. However, we find other children who watch far more excess time on the phone / screen device are not affected with Autism. Which implies that watching excessive screen won't cause Autism, but can exacerbate the already existing mental state, making the child to zone out.

  • Is it my fault my child has Autism?

No. Parents don’t cause autism. It has no bearing on the mental state of the mother, or conditions before during and after pregnancy and delivery. Your influence matters now through consistent, calm, responsive caregiving and the correct intervention.

  • What are the early signs of Autism you shouldn’t ignore ?

The early signs of Autism which you shouldn't ignore in you child are

    • Less attentive and responsive when called or addressed.
    • Not communicating or talking or limited pointing to things.
    • Seeks to be alone or avoids company and chooses not to interact with people.
    • Seems to be lost in thought and not interested in his external surroundings.
    • Language delay or lost. Doesn't communicate or talk.
    • Repetitive behaviors and limited awareness of surroundings.
    • Unexplained gestures, behavioral mannerisms and ways of play.

A child who was seemingly normal, responsive and communicative earlier and then regressing, showing above signs and manifestations, is strongly indicative of Autism Spectrum Disorder.

  • Why Does My Child Repeat Phrases?

Repetition (echolalia) is a step toward real language. Reverse Autism shows how to grow it.

  • Can't Autism be cured ?

Though the general belief is Autism cannot be cured, it is not an ultimate reality. Autism can be cured when the right intervention is made after the diagnosis. It is not a neurodiverse condition.

  • Is Autism a neurodiverse condition ?

No. Autism is not diagonosed on any brain scans, MRI, labtests etc, which clearly indicate that the children with Autism have no neurlogical implications.

  • Will changing food habits address Autism ?

Certain diet / foods can cause gastric issues like bloating, indigestion etc which can potentially cause distress to a young child who can express the discomfort as a tantrum or stereotypical behaviour. Avoiding certain foods is not a wise way of addressing the complaint.

  • Even after many years of Therapy why children don't show real development ?

Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, ABA, etc are based on the idea that the nervous is responsible for the manifestations of Autism Spectrum Disorder. But we know that human behaviours are results of a thought and psyche or the Mind. Due to this mismatch, they fail to address the Core of Autism Spectrum Disorder.
